Hi All,
Everybody knows that Germans have used experimentally infrared equipment on some Panther tanks and SdKfz 251s towards the end of the war.
The British have used a similar equipment (for driving by night only) called "Tabby" on some vehicles (although, I don't know if these were used operationally ?)
I wonder if the Soviet had a similar equipment early in the war (and even before, in the thirties) ?
I saw this (a night fighting equipment for the BT-7) available as a conversion kit fro the Tamiya BT-7 :
http://www.voyagermodel.com/productdetails.asp?itemid=PEA223
Was it an experimental installation (prototype only) or an operational system ?
Does anyone has infos on this ?
Thanks for the help,
Best Regards,
J.C. DANIS
