“Used to be back in the day, all the journalists would say, you should build a station wagon with a manual transmission, and I’d be like, come on, man. For you. Yeah, for you and the six other friends of yours that want to buy it,” said the executive [, GM RAM CEO,]. A blunt and valid point, we say.
A girls weekend away in Queensland came to a crashing end when a woman allegedly struck a pole with her car then returned a roadside breath test more than six times above the legal alcohol limit.
Police allege a Mudgeeraba woman, 50, hit a telegraph pole in her Mazda CX-8 then continued driving before she was stopped by concerned bystanders.
Police found the woman and her damaged car across the road from a police station, and conducted a roadside breath test at Mount Tambourine about 8.30am on Sunday.

On this note, the highest speed recorded on a public highway was set in 1938 at, wait for it, 268.9mph..... It wasn't beaten until...In the 1930's German automakers were charged with breaking any speed record they could for the greater glory of the ruling party. In the 1950s someone noticed that no one else had tried to break these records and decided to do something about it.

A man has been stripped of his driver's licence after he was accused of allowing his dog to 'drive' his ute while he sat in the passenger seat.
Several people walking along White Beach at Nubeena, south-east of Hobart, called police at about 9.30am on Saturday after spotting the bizarre sight.
'Witnesses reported that a white Mitsubishi Triton was being driven on the beach, with a dog in the driver's seat and a man in the passenger seat,' a Tasmania Police spokesman said.
