Interesting on Nord VTOL project :

http://www.google.com/patents?id=Jz91AAAAEBAJ&dq=Societe+Nationale+de+Constructions+Aeronautiques&num=100

(Search for French projects, I foun many interesting ideas !)

Nice find (and the Rotojet patent, too ) !

Remarkable that Nord itself spoke of an "aerodyne", as with this
name, I always anticipated a vehicle like that, built and flown
by Dornier in 1972

(from FlugRevue .3.1972)

Ah, sorry, I really should have mentioned this great name, the man,
who invented this kind of flying machine. Dornier just translated this
idea into flying hardware, although only unmanned. Of course, not looking
as spectacular, as those fancy artworks and models, which can be found
on http://www.geocities.com/unicraftmodels/on/adyne/adart.htm

:D

Great Nord aviation project     :

in patent is called Lifting Device Employing Aerodynamic Lift
let us called it for short L-DEAL

the Idea its brilliant
but i not understand is:
how they control the Point of Gravity in L-DEAL?
the point shifts with different Cargo weigth or empty Flight.

how they stabilise it ?

Hello, Jemiba
Naming a project "Aerodyne" is not so remarkable ,as the word means in french " heavier than air " . Must be said, this word is no longer used...

"how they stabilise it ?"

he only idea I have, is to change independently the thrustlines of the
four ducted fans ... ???

this time not Hesham
but me ;D
