Model of Singapore Technologies Marine Tiger Shark Future Frigate

From Jane's
Comments
The Tiger Shark Future Frigate design was developed by Singapore Technologies Marine to meet the challenges of the modern navy. It features an optimized hull form with a twin controllable pitch propulsion configuration and is capable of speeds in excess of 28 knots. The design incorporates highly automated and integrated shipboard and combat systems to greatly reduce manning requirements. It can be equipped for various missions and for protection against various threats including Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW), Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) as well as area defence Anti-Air Warfare (AAW). It is capable of operating a 10-tonne class helicopter. The design was presented at IMDEX ASIA 2005.

It also looks very much like the Focused Mission Local Area Combatant developed for the SC-21 COEA.

As shown by Norman Friedman in the revised version of US Destroyers, via Google Books.

Very nice looking designs. Any info on the length of the two designs and the weapon options for the corvette? The frigate looks like it can carry 48 VLS SAM and 8x SSM.
