Nice work :)
I have played with Simpleplanes too, building a aircraft is hard :)
Do you have a link to your designs?

Model 988-119 update: control surfaces are complete as well as yaw tvc installed from the drawings, fuselage development started.

Looks intriguing. My godson was really into SimplePlanes for a while and made me "help" with a couple of designs when I was visiting. Due to his age at the time there was a level of impatience at me trying to get my bearings so I acquiesced to just get things flying in a very improvised manner (rather than risk ruining his joy of experimentation out of my own position of ignorance). I think he expected me to take into anything like a duck to water.

Thus I never really got a handle on the capabilities of this game/software (at the time, it's been some years) nor whether it's anywhere near the ballpark of realistically evaluating the flying potential of one's ideas. The game seemed very forgiving in the sense of what it deemed flyable. I briefly considered getting it myself but it was way down in my priorities and keeps languishing there, especially as my godson's priorities have also shifted. Sorta nice to see this pop up anyway, still being a thing apparently.

Visiting SimplePlanes' website, the highest rated designs have obviously required quite a lot of thought and effort. Makes me wonder how entertaining and gamified actual professional design platforms could yet become.

It's a great game for simplicity's sake (no pun intended) should give it another go! They have it for mobile and is fun to plink about with.

Today's update, yaw TVC is done and control surfaces are almost complete. Has been a labor of love!

That mirrors my experience pretty closely. It is very forgiving at first, but once you start pushing more complex designs the limitations and quirks become more obvious-and that’s where the challenge (and fun) really kicks in. It’s surprisingly good as a creativity and intuition tool, even if it’s not a true engineering simulator.

The same developer team is about to release the sequel, advertised with better physics, flight characteristics and more comprehensive aircraft building and customization plans within this month. The (retroactively) first game cannot replicate complicated aircraft profiles (i.e. fuselages) smoothly and sometimes does not follow physics well, so building realistic WIGs, some of the Luft'46 and advanced projects with complicated designs being out of the question there...

Im trying!!! ESAV work!
