Hi,

in Le FANA magazine,I found an article about Seversky SEV-6,it was
a project for six seat civil amphibian aircraft, and the indicated to the
versions, the SEV-6L for land plane and SEV-6A for amphibian,it was
drafted in 1936.

When I searched in The Thunder Factory;an illustrated history of the Republic
Aviation Corporation,I think, they meant this aircraft in the drawings, which
was a scaled-up version of SEV-3.

Just kidding... the "Thunderboat" really should be a flying boat, but there's no such thing, AFAIK. Republic Aircraft did make a boat-hulled amphibian after the war called the Seabee.

Re: Seversky SEV-6 & SEV-5 Sky Yacht Project

Hi,

the SEV-5 was also floatplane and developed from SEV-3,but accommodated 4
passengers,I don't know if it was actually built or not.

Source? You can't assert things like that if you have no source to provide! Especially if you talk about a project nobody's heard about!

Sev-5
a five-seater amphibian with a maximum speed of 200 m.p.h.

Thank you my dear Paul,

and sorry my dear Skyblazer,for never mention the source,and here it's;

We also note that, the SEV.7 was two crew and eight passenger floatplane, and maybe the
SEV-7 was later re-allocated to a well know fighter.

Thanks for these, PaulMM and hesham. I can't believe that the SEV-5 and first SEV-7 have resisted my thorough investigation of the web a few months ago when I researched Seversky long and hard!! This being said, the web adds new pages every day and it is also possible that these either didn't exist or were not yet referenced by Google at the time. So thanks again.

Always better to save the pics and attach them though, as links can disappear in time... so here they are.

According to the German text on issue 20 year 1933
this should be a version with - retractable landing gear.
The engine cowling is also different.
Perhaps a projected version....

I think you are right my dear Lark.

Re: Seversky SEV-5 & SEV-7

Hello! I get to make my first post, huzzah :)

To the point: Air journal Flight published an article on the Seversky SEV-3 and proposed SEV-5 and SEV-7 on November 15, 1933.
