I'm trying to compile a list of failed export orders over the years and right now I'm currently on the Sikorsky S-70 Blackhawk. The series starts at S-70A-1 which would be the Deserthawk Saudi Arabia ordered, the S-70A-5 for the Philippines and then the S-70A-9 for Australia, but what about the numbers in between such as the S-70A-2,S-70A-3,etc? I'm not sure which is which but I think I rmember hearing that different models of the S-70 had been proposed to Germany,Algeria,Peru and Spain .I know Switzerland evaluated it but chose the AS-532. Any help in thise area would be much appreciated

Here is my own list of S-70 export versions. Some are probably missing but there's quite a lot here already.

However I couldn't say which of these were "failed" exports as you call them.

Regarding this list i have the following queries:

does the VH-60N originate from the S-70B or is it a hybrid A and B?

don't you think the Turkish designations S-70B-28 is a bit off given that the last S-70B model is the B-9?
and the Turkish S-70D-28? was there an S-70D? strange for me!

and moreover:
I have seen on another website (webmaster could not confirm this) the following anomalies regarding the S-70:

SOTAS test aircraft designation UH-60A SOTAS or YEH-60B SOTAS?

Early version of the Presidential Hawk designation: VH-60A or D, as other media give it as D?

Is there a Saudi Arabian S-70L (apart from the S-70A-1L)? is this designation being used again?

Wasn’t the S-70L designation used for the naval version of the Blackhawk which was later changed to S-70B?

Is there a Japanese UH-60J+?

The Netherlands evaluated the S-70 during the early 1990s but selected Cougar instead. Don't know if Sikorsky allocated a designation.

The two UK S-70s received different model designations because they were delivered to two separate customers ( one to Rolls-Royce and one to Westland ) even though they collaborated closely on the technology for the WS-70.

The latter might explain the spurious "S-70L"; it seems that Westland christened their Saudi proposal as WS-70L as a combination of S-70 and UH-60L.
 
Wasn't the WS70 intended to be supplied to the Saudi's, but the contract fell through?

That's right. It juts petered-out in the early 1990s though, when Saudi started buying Desert Hawks directly from Sikorsky.

Here's one I had forgotten: Shorts had teamed-up with Sikorsky in 1985 and were offering the S-70 in competition to the WG.30 and Super Puma:

Westland is in competition with Aerospatiale, offering the AS.332 Super Puma, and Sikorsky, teamed with Shorts offering the S-70A Black Hawk for the RAF order.

Between 75 and 125 helicopters are required to meet a 1988 in-service date.

That agreement only lasted a year or so. From 1986:
In addition, Shorts sought new areas of the home market, and new expertise when, at the last Farnborough Air Show, the
company signed a memorandum of understanding with Sikorsky to assemble and equip S-70 Black Hawk utility helicopters, should they be ordered by the RAF.

That MoU has now been superseded by Westland's link with Sikorsky and Fiat, and its grasp on a licence to produce Black Hawks.

A few years later and it was Westland offering the S-70 to the RAF!
