Royal Navy 1950s abandoned ship designs

I'm fairly new to this place but I've been eager to learn more about the Royal Navy's shift in doctrine (and the various proposed ship-classes as a result to the development in naval technology) following the Second World War. I've seen alot of Tzoil's work here years ago about the GW9A cruisers and such but I'm kinda interested if the British Admiralty ever considered going further (if funding hadnt been such an issue lol).

A good place to start for some general information, in fact, some quite detailed, would be D.K. brown & George Moore’s ‘Rebuilding the Royal Navy’.
Plenty of in formation there.
There are numerous other books which also cover the Royal Navy Post War period….

That is an excellent recommendation. Friedman's books on British cruisers and destroyers are also very informative

Off the top of my head, there are also the following:
The Post-War Naval Revolution (Friedman)
Vanguard to Trident (Eric J. Grove)
The Decline of British Seapower (Desmond Wettern)

Thet all give good insights into the Post-war British Royal Navy, Friedman's Post-war Naval Revolution runs for the end of WW2 basically to the end of the 1950's...It also covers other Navies.
I am sure other Members here will be able to recommend other titles and greatly expand the list.
