This X-wing design was similar to Lockheed CL-1608.

Interesting designs and a great find!

For what it's worth, NR76H-137 is the reference number of the report submitted to the Government and has nothing to do with any advanced design project number.

NR -> North American Rockwell (Rockwell International)(NA was used for North American prior to the mergers)
76 -> Year (1976)
H -> (site; in this case, Columbus Ohio. The origin of the "H" is left as an exercise to the reader).
137 -> (Sequence, the 137th report number issued in 1976 - even though the final submittal was in 1977)
