Regards,

Of course it is a real design, but to be honest, all I know in my files,it was anther
designation to VVA-14.

In the 1994 Aviko Press book "Samolet VVA-14" ("Aircraft VVA-14") (ISBN 5863010278) by KG Udalov, GS Panatov and LG Fortinov there is mention on page 5 of a couple of pre-VVA-14 projects, the "2500" and MVA-62. There is also a photo of the model of the MVA-62 on the next page. It appears to have a single main engine and air-cushion sponsons.

Some more notes ...

DLR
Sesquiplane biplane flying boat with twin engines (I have a small 3-vu somewhere)

Article 58 / A-58
Project for a sea based nuclear bomber developed during 1958 at OKB-256 Design Bureau. It was to be similar in size to the Tu-22 and Tu-16. Similar layout to the earlier A-57. As an amphibian it was designed to operate from sea bases in Europe and Asia.

GS-1 / GSB
Project appeared in 1957-1960 in Leningrad at the Special Research Laboratory of the Academy
named after A.F.Mozhaiski, with an active participation of pioneer Soviet designer A.S. Moskalaev.
Several different layouts were evaluated, delta wing, tailless and a flying wing. The aeroplane was to be built of titanium alloys that would allow a take off weight of 250 tons. The maximum speed was to be 4,500 km/h with a 15,000 kilometre range. Whether this was a Bartini design or a Moskalev (or both) I am unsure. It was mentioned elsewhere as being solely Mosklalev. However in appearance it is "Very-Bartini-esque". The GSB was to be armed with a thermonuclear warhead of 1.5 megatons with a defensive armament of 4-5 air-to-air missiles with a 10 kilometre range and two cannon mounts. The hydro landing gear consisted of a cental hydroski and wing tip floats which provided landing angles of 9 to 12 degrees. To aid take-off, rocket boosters were to have been fitted.

SVVP-2500
In "The Aircraft of R.L Bartini" the previously mentioned "2500" is described as the SVVP-2500, a VTOL project with an in-flight weight of 2,500 tonnes. It had both lifting and level flight engines. Fitted with hydrofoils installed on the lateral floats. These were utilised as an aide in taking off as the reduced the water resistance when employed in a non-VTOL take-off scenario.

MVA-62
The MVA-62 was a VTOL anti-submarine amphibious vehicle with a 38 tonne weight.

The Russian magazine Weapons World (July 2006) has an article "Generated Euphoria" (ПОРОЖДЕННЫЕ ЭЙФОРИЕЙ) on Bartini's later designs (page 50-55) including F-57, A-57 and Project 30. Has colour renderings as well.

I also found some 3-view diagrams (all time stamped pre-2000 so no note of sources) - is DLR a genuine Bartini design?

T-107 - design from 1944
T - revised 1974 design

The Korchagin KOR-70 was NOT a Bartini design and all sources pretending so are just repeating old mistakes.

All reference to that project has been removed from this topic.

New company data for both companies has surfaced which proves this without a shadow of doubt. A definitive book on Bartini, relying on company archives and first-hand testimonies, is currently in preparation. I prefer to lock this thread until then to prevent proliferation of such erroneous data.

Bartini's work with Beriev also appears in various places on this forum, notably this topic:And as for Korchagin...
