RIP Mira Furlan

West Nile virus, of all things. Typically transmitted by mosquitos. Anyone else remember society kinda freaking out in the early/mid 80's about the idea that AIDS might be transmissible via skeeters? I seem to recall a lot of Experts saying that the idea was stupid, and that there was no reason to be afraid of skeeter-borne viruses. Well...
 
Gutted, she was extremely talented and I wish she could have been in some of the really challenging roles in acting. I think she would have done every one perfectly. RIP. I hope she see's beyond the stars now.
