Just heard that one part of the duo who brought us the Asterix books has passed away.
These books have brought me many years of pleasure and laughter. Now in partucular is a good moment to get out a copy of an Asterix book, pour your favourite drink and raise it to Monsieur Uderzo.

A "missing" man salute from the Armee de l'Air would be a fitting tribute in that case. The Bard from a certain village would play a lament, but the fishmonger has knocked him out...

Even better Uderzo with Charlier created "Le Chevaliers du Ciel" or Tanguy et Laverdure.
Godspeed Albert!!

AKA 'The Aeronauts' in British translation. I had an Aeronauts annual from the early 70s for many years, main story about nuclear testing in the Pacific IIRC, might even still be at my family home somewhere.
