Just heard that one part of the duo who brought us the Asterix books has passed away.

AKA 'The Aeronauts' in British translation. I had an Aeronauts annual from the early 70s for many years, main story about nuclear testing in the Pacific IIRC, might even still be at my family home somewhere.

In Italy they were released just as "Tanguy e Laverdure", first published by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore and later on by Alessandro Distribuzioni (the same which printed also the late Buck Danny),
