If that thing can run boot camp / Windows 7 I'm all over it.
Time for an upgrade, so I got a Windows 7 laptop from HP (Pavillion G something) with my first paycheck from IHS. 17 inch 1080p widescreen display, 2.something AMD A4 processor, 300 GB hard drive, 512MB video card, and a DVD-RW drive. After I upgraded it to 8 GB of RAM, it came in just a hair over $400. Quiet as hell, and runs nice and fast. If you can find one of these, check it out. It outspecs and outperforms the old laptop I'd been using for the past five years or so, and cost about a quarter of the old one's pricetag. Now the old one has been relegated to serving as a platform to manage my music collection, so I don't have to move 40 some GB of mp3 files to the new computer and deal with what that would do. iTunes is about the most retarded piece of software I've ever seen.
