How do they gain access to refuel that power source?. Looks like a lot of structure would need to be removed, or they have not done so and the ship has a limited lifespan remaining.
 
I see little value in this modernisation. It's being lengthy and surely expensive for a ship with little tactical value for contemporary Russian Navy needs. I just can think of it as a probable easy target in the light of recent war lessons (Moskva sinking).

It’s a prestige project. It probably makes more sense than Kuznetsov.

The reactor is right between the two large chunks of superstructure. I think there are actually refuelling patches integrated there.

That strikes me as being contrary to good order and military discipline, IE, inteligent. Heavens ta Betsy, a military designer/builder?
 
The top illustration looks like a Disney theme park, REACTORLAND! Every visitor has that warm glow to them after a visit. My teeth have never been this white! Uranium, no not myranium, Uranium.
