Hi Borovik,

I thought this aircraft was designed by a designer named Pelenberg. Could you give me more information about who was this man?. And also who is Shulikov?.

Thanks a lot

Konstantin V.Shulikov changed his last name from Pelenberg to Shulikov
to let it sound more Russian.Besides his work at the Mikoyan Design Bureau
he later was lecturer at the Moscow Aviation Institute.

In 1946 he designed a vectored thrust concept VTOL jet fighter.

Forgot the source for the above note:

Before K.V. Shulikov developed his vectored-nozzle VTOL project in 1946 (the principles of which resulted in the much later Yak-36 Freehand) and at a time when he still answered the name of Pelenberg (which he changed to sound more Russian), he imagined a pusher VTOL type with twin-booms and a very original variable-sweep wing design. This undesignated aircraft was presented in the Russian Polygon N°5, published in 2001.
