Archipeppe,

Your artwork is, as always, outstanding.

My father flew F-104's out at Edwards AFB in the late 1950's. At that time, Edwards' airspace was still quite confined, and they needed to demonstrate that upcoming aircraft would need to expand their restricted airspace to safely conduct testing. My father was raised and learned to fly north of Edwards, out near Death Valley, so he was very familiar with the surrounding area. As one of the latest and fastest aircraft, they used the F-104 to fly high-Mach dashes between China Lake and Edwards. He loved comparing the Mach 2.5 F-104 to the 100 knot biplanes he was used to flying that route in back in the 1930's.

Thank you for bringing back some memories.

Thanks all of you guys, as always, I'm glad that you have appreciated my job.

For SAustin16, I live in Naples (Italy) closer to the Italian Air Force base of the 9th Wing (now placed "on hold" position) that flew F-104G, F-104S and ASA for more than 30 years. So, the Starfighters were a quite familiar vision down here, and I was grew up with the J-79 sound in my ears.

For XB-70 Guy, unfortunately I never produced Mustang drawings, not yet.... ;)
