My treasures

You are welcome yasotay. ;D
Please enjoy Kure city in 2012.
Kure city was the most important base of the IJN.
Battle ship Yamato was constructed in this city. You can see dockyard of IHI marine united Co.Ltd, which used to be the dockyard of the IJN.
Carrier Akagi was also constructed in this dockyard.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_aircraft_carrier_Akagi

This is one of the scenery that the United States Navy carried fighter pilots saw at the day.
And Pearl harbor.

Hayabusa and Komachi(red one, Tokyo to Akita)

What type is this? An E5?

The E5 is the green train at the back - it pushes the red train along at top speed. The red train is an E6. Once the combo gets to Morika Station they separate, and the smaller red train (Komachi) transfers to normal train tracks and goes to Akita, the green Hayate continues on to Aomori.

The first train in the video, the Tsubasa, has the same mode of operation, but it separates from the pushing train at a different station. Hoping to see an upgrade of Tsubasa stock, it goes to my prefecture of residence.

Hi Blakkite,

Thank you for posting your videos, i had never seen the Shinkansen E5 Series Hayabusa, it is beautiful ! It looks like a green dragon or a snake travelling through the countryside in one long video i found on Youtube after i checked the ones you posted, that long video was almost hypnotic ! The E5 Hayabusa is now one of my favorites !

I also had never heard of the Sky Tree, what an interesting and impressive tower ! A real tour de force, especially considering that the cross section varies progressively from a triangle at the base to a circle at the top of the truss structure. Really unique ! Love the festival videos also !

Perhaps 500km/h speed linear motor car line from Tokyo to Yamanashi prefecture (near Mt. Fuji) will be constructed until 2020.

My condolences to the people of Japan for this latest disaster. Earthquakes, tsunamis, reactor meltdowns, and now *this*.

I suspect it'll end something like this...

oh dear the poor japanese
First economic crisis, then biggest earthquake hit them, follow by Fukushima nuclear accident and now the Olympic Games in 2020!

First problem with building the stations & athlete buildings, all those dispossession on homes, the corruption.
Then budget overruns on building, amplification of Police force to austere security for games.
that will cost japanese taxpayer zillion Yen for Games, needed for safeguarding for four dangerous nuclear ruins...
and they will protest against this games will this result in catastrophe again ?

Dam on what remind me this ?

The International Olympic Committee don't think so after prime minister Abe's strong presentation. ;)
Never mind at all. Tokyo including Tokyo sky tree withstanded recent massive earth quake easily. I experienced massive earth quake in Yokohama near Tokyo. It was a very big earth quake.Tsunami did not hit Tokyo at recent massive earth quake, too. Also Japan and Tokyo already keep enough money to build Olympic stadium and facilities.
The Japanese government decided to control Fukushima perfectly by Japanese government budget, strong intention and plan.
The Japanese government will make a decision which makes a consumption tax high(only 5% now), in order to cancel a budget deficit in the near future.
You can enjoy Yurikamome(ゆりかもめ) in Tokyo, too. Loop is very interesting.
Because the Olympic host city of 2020 is decided in Tokyo, 90% of Japanese are very pleased. By the Olympic, the Japanese economy will recover steadily same as the case of 1964 Tokyo Olympic. It may be good for the world. Please enjoy cool Japan in 2020. :D

This "crap" (as you put it) is someone else's treasure.

As Sgt Hulka would say, "lighten up, Francis..."

That's a nice video of the Akita Kanto (lantern) festival. It is more fun being there though - the videos can feel a bit staged.
