Slightly weird question, I’m creating an OO gauge “military transport” train and am looking at putting some tanks/AFVs on some warwell/warflat wagons.
Key issue is scale, I can find a Challenger (1) tank at 1:76 by Revell, but the M1 & M2 I can only find at 1:72.
Those are my preferred vehicles as when I was younger I had a Gulf War 1 diorama using Tamiya 1:35 of those so it’s a bit of a nod to those models.
Question is how misplaced might they look? I’m aware of potential wagon fitment/gauge issues but reckon that aspect will work ok.
Unless there are any 1:76 M1/M2s out there or I just go 1:72 for all.
cheers - I’ve already got a Red Arrows train using a 1:72 Hawk (wings and tailplanes removed!) plus 4tonner/UBRE and the US ground support kit (hyd/power/lighting rigs etc) and it’s all just good fun but nice to remember what I’ve done before. Just ordered an aviationvideo modern RAF/RN tractor to add to a space on one of the flat wagons!
