While researching some Martin-related patents, I came across this sweep serendipity: a Martin swept-wing supersonic combat aircraft project of 1956!
http://www.google.fr/patents/US2920842
(PDF file also attached below)

It was designed by engineers James L. Decker and Charles J. Koch (the latter also was part of the Seamaster design team).

Browsing through the Martin model numbers list circa 1956 I find a USAF fighter-bomber (Model 276), a USAF swept-wing fighter bomber (Model 278) and yet another USAF fighter-bomber (Model 288) that might fit the bill, but only the second one has "swept-wing" mentioned in the description, so I'll venture this may well be the Model 278. I guess only Orionblamblam around here might be able to confirm this...

I'm attaching a cleaned-up version of the patent artwork and a five-view arrangement I recreated from it. Hope you guys enjoy it!

1956 - C. J. Koch, Chief Aerodynamicist
1958 - C. J. Koch, Chief of Staff, Advanced Design

James L Decker was also Chief Aerodynamicist at Martin later on I believe.

Hi,

I think that,it was not Martin Model-278,because it
was appeared in 1951/52 ?.
