After much delay resulting from tendering printers (I'm not responsible for arranging the print), one has now been commissioned. The book should therefore be going to press this week. As to a publication date, that'll be whenever the copies arrive from the printer, so maybe in about a month from now?
 
So that is mid'ish June or there about's Dan for the books release date.

The printers report that Secret Projects of the Luftwaffe Vol.2 Bombers 1939-1945 should be arriving at the publisher's warehouse around June 30. So on or around that date, orders made directly should be packaged up and sent out. Amazon orders will have to go to the distributor first before then being sent on to customers.

Today is the day!!! Can`t wait to have my copy.
 
Delayed again, to July 30 (2026)... that is, until delayed again.
 
Delivery of the books to the Kelsey warehouse (ex-Mortons warehouse) is due today some time between 9am and 5pm. I'll see if I can get someone to send me a photo, just to prove they exist.

These images are rather dark and lo-res (better pics coming soon - when my own copy arrives in the post) but I can at least confirm that Secret Projects of the Luftwaffe Volume 2 Bombers 1939-1945 is back from the printers and is being dispatched to direct-order customers today.

Dan has provided us a gracious inside look at his ultimate book on Luftwaffe bombers. Is anyone here lucky enough to have this book in his possession? A short review would be great until my copy arrives (perhaps only in September)!
 
I'd love to see more of this sort of detail about the Allied side of things on topics like these. The Germans have been overdone, although the books still look worthwhile.
 
Finally it arrived. Yesterday was such a good day. I just skimmed through this truly heavy volume and it is really amazing. Just beginning to read the fist chapters about prewar german long range bomber ideas and designs, there are so many new informations. And of course in general there are so many fotos and drawings included that are mindblowing, e.g. I never saw a real drawing of a Horten bomber "Schnellstkampfflugzeug" with As 413 engine or the whole FW Fernbomber programme is quite more diverse and extensive than I had imagined: have you ever seen FW-Longrangebomber projects converted into transporters (even for tanks)? But this book is more than just a story about design; it is, in fact, genuine and thorough historical research. The development of the German bomber program can only be understood when viewed in the context of the political demands and technical capabilities of its time. I highly recommend it!
