If the Germans had the Surcouf and used it with a Seehund to atack a port like New York it would be a good German propaganda move.

In the FFO verse, we send Surcouf off Tokyo a certain day of April 1942. It added some 203 mm shells to Doolittle bombs... ;)

Make no mistake, we fully acknowledged the Surcouf many flaws and limitations. Such operations are rare and half of them, propaganda coups. The FFO three "founding fathers" have been clear about that.

It's fan model of Movie " Lorelei the witch of pacific ocean " : it's just what if / sci-fi japanese movie written by Harutoshi Fukui that is also an actor .

This image is often described as the Surcouf, but if one looks closely, it's the I-507 "Lorelei".
The "Seehund" is visible at the rear, and the turret is less round than on the Surcouf.

Germans didn't have competence to do something like that by a wide margin. Italians, though, actually have. They planned miget submarine attacks on New York harbor in 1942-1943, and even started to prepare such, but the carrier submarine was sunk shortly before it was supposed to start preparing for New York mission.
