Hi All,

I would like to turn the Special Hobby 1/72 SAAB J-21R into the first prototype that flew in 1947.

I don't known if there are many differences from the J-21R production version.

I am looking for photographs, drawings and color scheme of this particular aircraft, the first Swedish jet.

Thank for the info,

XB-35

From Profile 138 'The SAAB 21 A & R' by Bo Widfeldt.
The first prototype J 21 R first flew with a white rear fuselage, later this was painted green on top, light grey on its belly, like the rest of the aircraft.

Amazing stuff, Justo, especially the plans. I'd be curious to see just how big your book collection is... Must be mind-boggling!!!

From the latest "klassiker der Luftfahrt" (March 2012) issue,
a cut-away of te J-21R:

Over 40 m. of shelves containing files of photocopies, 732 books and around 60.000 colour profiles. Out of all this, I have already scanned around a 15%.

That's amazing, Justo. Excellent. I shall certainly continue - with very good reason - to bow to your vastly superior knowledge of aircraft (& of shelving).

My intention is to scan all this stuff and make it accesible through the network.
The issue here is the organization of the information before scanning it.
It may take me a few years.... :-\

Not to mention archiving...I'm curious, how do you know where to look for in your files, if you want to, say, find info on the J21? do you keep a spreadsheet or some other dedicated archival tool?
