Right, but that's a different conversation. You're suggesting to use multiple warheads when one could be enough to get the job done. In my opinion we don't have enough to have the luxury of using multiple warheads on a soft target when one bigger one would do.

But the US doesn't have any megaton-class nukes in reentry bodies.

The biggest ones we have are the W88s, and they're Navy not USAF. W87s are only ~330kt instead of 475kt.
