If anyone interested, will post more pics. Angara 3 and Angara 5P (first and third from the left) are intended for launch of Krunichev's TKS-derived manned spacecraft

What's all this buzz around TKS ? Does Krunitchev plan to resurect this 30 years old concept ?
Is this linked to the death of Kliper, and as a consequence another atempt to replace venerable Soyuz ?

Salt may be required.

Whatever happened to Angara? It was supposed to be a modular concept allowing coverage of small to heavy payload classes. It has been almost 2 years since the last flight.

On that new russian rocket, there for Moment zillion rocket proposals By russian companies,
But no money by the government to Build them.

Angara next launch is sceduld for "middle 2017" if that happen is unclear.
For moment they Work on second Angara-5 to get it launch ready
But problems at subcontractors, Budget cuts and Design changes delay the program
Like use of old Block-D stage for Angara, instead the Briz or Fregat stages, do use of Toxic propellants.
Next to that the manufactor has move the Production into new Factory.
By the beginning of the 2020s, this factory in the city of Omsk should take over the entire manufacturing process for the Angara

Go look at russianspaceweb.com for more on Angara. The program was started (I think) back in the 1980s. It took forever to get ready. The Russians have had big plans for it, but have not progressed very far. It is not just money, but also construction problems and corruption. There have been lots and lots of problems. Plus, the Russian economy is not doing well because of low oil prices and the Russian economy and Russian government depend heavily upon oil sales. (The reason that oil prices have stayed low is a rather fascinating one. Saudi Arabia tried to drive American oil fracking companies out of business. They only managed to drive less efficient ones out of business and drove others to become more efficient, thus keeping prices down. Just goes to show how unpredictable economics can be, huh?)

Components for another Angara 5 are being fabricated for assembly sometime this year. The linked article suggests the production process for Angara has been updated which might indicate an attempt to remove costs. Originally, Angara was to provide a standardized hardware set capable of handling light to heavy payloads which presumably would supplant the current Soyuz/Proton launchers. No mention of any efforts towards reusability.

Thirdly, I look forward to seeing greater efforts to develop the Angara family of carrier rockets, including the Angara-A5 heavy-lift rocket: as we know, it is of great importance for our country’s defence capability.

For us to be able to launch it, we must expand the infrastructure of the Vostochny Space Launch Centre, proceed with the second phase of its construction, and organise work to build a launch pad for the Angara, the launch of which is scheduled for 2021.

Angara 5 costs too much more than the launcher it is meant to replace.

yes
a Proton launch cost around $64 million while Angara 5 cost around $100 million, with hope it drop to $57 million in 4 years
Krunitchev had allot of cost and problem to face
like building new Angara production site in Omsk, redesign rocket after issue with prototype and modification for Block-D use
All this drive the cost up and Krunitchev need money.

next to that are issues with delay on Second Launch site on Vostochny Space Launch Centre...

Maybe there will be a reusable/returnable Angara-5. It could be the best or only chance for Angara to be competitive.

Four Angara carrier rocket will be accepted for service this year but not all of them will blast off by January, Head of Russia’s State Space Corporation Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin told TASS on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Thursday.

"This year, we will most likely try to commission four rockets: two heavy and two light launch vehicles. However, this does not mean that all of them will lift off this year but two of them will make their spaceflight: one light and one heavy rocket," Rogozin said.

A heavy rocket will be commissioned in June and a light carrier in July. The other launch vehicles are expected to be commissioned by the end of the year, the Roscosmos chief said.

A heavy Angara-A5 rocket is due to test a new booster this year, Rogozin specified.
