Due to a large amount of SACs at the U.S Navy's Historical Center (I refuse to call it by it's new name NHHC); and quite a bit of material at the Archives II being in large format double paper; does anyone have any good recommendations on large format scanners?

My CanoScan 8800F is reliable and trusty, but, man; I'm getting tired of having to stitch together documents.

I've owned a UMAX 2100XL USB flatbed for years. It's discontinued, but scans nearly 12x18 (tabloid w/bleeds) in one pass. Of course, it's kind of gigantic, and requires a medium-sized, padded suitcase to carry around. But you should be able to get a decent one for dirt cheap. At the time, there were no other tabloid scanners in its price range, so selecting it was easy.

its depends how much money you wana spend
and if the scanner has to be mobile
