Newish bookazine from Key:

Looks interesting, although I really, really, have to wonder at the cover. Is it me, or do you
see the issue? Has the art director been replaced by AI?

And does the "Feisty Foxbat" article rate a foldout (without staples)?

Ignore the cover. Complete bollocks.

The content is pretty good and I found it most informative. Probably a bit US-oriented but only to be expected.

No fold-out for Foxbats.

I'd say it's worth eleven quid.

Mig-25 flew in 1964 and entered service in 1969. 10 years after the last B-36 was retired.
 
Oxford still has a Jabbas so I bought this.
All these magazine/books are heavily padded with pointless illustrations so end up (Not Scott Lowthers) being cut up and put in my folder of cuttings.
There is a book to be written on the military history of West Berlin ranging from the plans to counter a Soviet take over (Live Oak) to the various aviation assets that visited and did things in the corridors. Brixmis is mentioned here briefly but is well covered in a number of books.
The Hercules pages were most welcome as they fit neatly into one of the my many books on the plane.

They'd probably say the two aircraft aren't actually in the same picture and if you happened to think it was depicting a real scene then that's just your foolishness...

Not really any different from many AI covers these days, which was the point I was trying to make in that thread: rehash lash-ups like this existed well before AI and had the same goal; separate people from their money whilst not actually requiring any original research.

The cover joke definitely has that “AI art director” feel, especially if the typography and image placement look oddly mismatched. And if “Feisty Foxbat” really gets a foldout, that’s a pretty funny way to justify buying the bookazine.

 
Hey guys,
This bookazine just appeared in my local newsagent today here in Australia… that’ll give you some idea how long it takes for such items to get to us down under.
Usually Key Publishing bookazines are pretty good but the quality and layout have definitely dropped away lately.
