According to a statement from the South Korean Army, approximately 70 military personnel from Australia, Egypt, Poland, Romania, Türkiye, and Vietnam are participating in a 4-week program that will continue until July 25.
The personnel participating in the program are receiving training on the operation and maintenance of the K9 howitzer and K2 tank.
The Army will mount a gun tube reminiscent of its dead Extended Range Cannon Artillery (ERCA) effort on top of a Hanwha Defense howitzer under a new research and development agreement with the South Korean manufacturer.
