I guess we might dismiss these magazine images and videos as flights of speculative fantasy, but it does make one wonder if the Japanese public is prepared to defend the Senkaku Islands or other Japanese interests in the China Sea against the People's Republic of China. Is the public being prepared to amend the post-war Constitution and for a Third Sino-Japanese War?

For a variety of reasons, China's leaders have deemed it worth their while to inflame nationalist sentiment among China's masses and to make Japan the first best target of it.

This isn't something as low grade as issuing objections when Japan's emperor makes the occassional visit to Japan's "war shrine" or when the Japanese issue yet another school text book that glosses over their actions in World War Two. Instead, it is directly fanning those nationalist flames quite independent of what Japan does or does not do.

Considering the pace at which China is building up and modernizing their military, the Japanese would have to be insane not to resond in kind. And the Japanese, while having a reputation for doing some crazy things, are certainly not insane.

Does this mean that Japan's "Pacifist Constitution" is obsolete and Article 9 needs to be repealed?

Well, the upper and lower houses of parliament in Japan are now firmly in control of the rightist LDP, so talk of a constitutional amendment is mainstream again. While the younger populace objects to militarization, they have poor voter turnout, and are largely repelled by older voters who seeks immediate stability and safety in their declining years. Also, it appears an official budget allocation has been made to form a new portion of the SDF force, that are ostensibly being called marines, as their primary mission is amphibious assault for recovery of japanese islands. I'd say that lays most of the cards on the table right there.

The Hyuga derivative carriers are largely a pipe dream for armchair admirals, as the amount of equipment commonality with actual Hyuga class ships will not be as high as claimed. Japan would be much better served by local sea control ships remote operating shore based UCAV forces, since all carrier type assets are bomb magnets.

The F-3E tailess design presented seems to be a poor mashup of conceptual F-3 designs with X-44 MANTA cues (they allude to as much, along with the F-16XL influence) but the strikingly odd feature is the twin humps above the engines on the dorsal area. Seems like a poor choice, since it doesn't seem to be a removable CFT that requires keeping the outer mold line intact. If you bother to make that large a change in the outer mold line, smoothing it out a little better by extending the cockpit downslope aft would be a better choice (more resembling a FA-XX). If it was ostensibly to house generators for DEW gear, wouldn't it be better to have alignment with the engine shaft? Might be for satellite comms, but seems poor for that in some ways.
