Perhaps no answer to your question !
In a little film we could see the He 178 flying, landing gear deployed
and the compartment for retracted landing gear close with a plate; ?

So are there any details on He 178V2 MLG kinematics in Myhra's book? It's clear for me that it's actually not a "Grumman style", but some parallelogram scheme, may be with U shaped top link.
