I would like to add something, a bit late.
Please remember the lost but, also the disabled, the disfigured and the folk who lost their way due to service and life being what it is. Taps in the USA helps families of those lost both physically and emotionally, doing a massive amount of good.
Our neighbours have been through much but, as we are able, caring for the small community makes us all stronger, better able to deal with the stuff we all get every day
Little things make a huge amount of difference to the mindset of struggling people, there is no real need for copying the work of large charities. Perhaps even a greeting like, "G'day, how are you doing"? Keeping the connection of our neighbours with the world in a positive manner.
