GlobalEye on an A321XLR might be interesting. Save on your air-to-air refuelling costs by staying up all day.

To be fair, a Falcon 10X would probably get you around 11-13 hours of loitering too (clean it will do around 15 hours of flight at optimal cruise), and would be less of a waste of a huge airframe.

This aircraft will be fully owned by the Netherlands. Not the same as the NATO E-3 fleet.

That said, it will be part of a common pool with the 3 other Swedish aircraft, and both nations will have access to all 4 aircraft.

The Dutch will have access to and train on the Swedish GlobalEye starting in 2028.

Going to be interesting if we (slowly) start to see a joint JEF capability. If Denmark & Finland buy their 4, Sweden exercises its option for an additional 1 (to reach 4) there would be 9 in the JEF countries, which means 3 Orbits could be maintained...at least for a reasonable period. That could cover Svalbard down to Belarussian border with Latvia for low level threats....the Poles and their Erieye take over then...(and I suppose there will eventually be Globaleye there as well...). Quite surprised the Norgies haven't chipped in for a couple....

The Netherlands has signed a Letter of Intent with Sweden for the acquisition of a Saab GlobalEye Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft. The parties have not yet entered into a contract and Saab has not yet received an order from The Netherlands.
