Hi Barry, Folks ,
What is the very large cylinder object top left corner in the top photo?

V2 engine has complex plumbing, wat look very odd

and from size it look like a original A4 and the engine bay was 1/3 of length of A4
 
Looks like a V2 to me - might even be this one in the Science Museum!

Many thanks, just did not recall seeing the pipework from that angle, It has to be V2 , will not forget that side view.
The date of the picture circa 1956 with the model of the Skylark launcher bottom right?

Yes that is a Skylark Launcher Model ;)
and Left bottom rocket is a Skylark
the rocket in Picture center is French Veronique
above that our mysterious UK rocket engine


but wat are those two engine on top center ?
the small one look like a RATO
the other look like Black solid rocket stage
 
26th July 1957 is the issue of the Aeroplane which the picture is from and is about a conference on High Altitude and Satellite Rocket Symposium held at Cranfield the previous week.
The odd looking thing is an early Sprite? the one at the back I don't know.

Agreed, Sprite cold HTP for the Comet Airliner, example at Derby RRHT,( first known UK cold HTP rocket proposal 1938,( UK Royal Navy HTP torpedoe1924/25))
