Geoplane underground’ aeroplane system, that the company is attempting to gain support
for a joint study to develop the system. The scheme utilises a tunnel of so
me 50 to 56 metres in diameter to be built between Tokyo and Osaka, a distanc
of 550km (343 miles), and would be travelled by a turboprop-powered, plane-
like vehicle at up to speeds of 600 kph and a carrying capacity of 400 passengers.

A geo plane is a means of transportation that is envisioned as a future technology and allows people to travel at high speed by gliding through underground tunnels . Several similar transportation technologies using ground effects have been proposed, and ``geo-planes'' have been given the name ``geo-planes'' for underground planes .

The idea is to excavate a large-diameter tunnel with a diameter of 50-56 meters underground, and fly an airplane into it to travel. [ 1]

This flying vehicle is said to glide at high speed in an underground tunnel with its wings positioned approximately 1m above the road surface. In order to increase the speed of current subways, the vehicle body, which travels in a closed space, uses air compression to generate running energy . The loss rate is larger than that of land-based railways , and as with land-based railways, it is necessary to deal with an increase in rolling resistance due to the wheels. The idea to solve these problems is to streamline the car body and use the ground effect of the wings to reduce the weight of the car . It was designed to support. Some people have proposed this idea as a new means of transportation, and research is being conducted on it as a science and technology, but in terms of cost-effectiveness, it is no more than science fiction or futuristic technology.
