Pretty good RoF and stability on that test mount.

Amazing what you can do when the test mount is bolted down and ballasted by earth...

Hence the qualifier of "on that test mount," but it's still a pretty good performance.

Hand held Link 16 is way way way overdue. Will reserve comment on the disfunction up until now.

With regards as the Flyboard:

Refueling mishap. Better luck next time!
Second attempt successful

Dependance on cheap quadrotors will grow and when the quadrotor is downed by a sophisticated adversary, in the first 30 seconds of combat, the squad will be mentally lost. In the next 30secs the mortars will rain down from where the quadrotor took off and the squad will be physically lost.

A squad needs a armed, endurance fixed wing craft which does not break the horizon until far away from the squad.

Then an second armed UAV, multi- (10-12) shot VTOL, is launched when a target/squad mission is established by data from the relatively higher flying, EM hardened, fixed wing armed RSTA bird.

The fixed wing armed/RSTA bird is largely to defend against mortar/short range artillery/ UAV launch sites and threat UAVs themselves.

Much respect for Gen Scales, but just wish he would discuss AAN logistics studies and how a real change is still far away and should be reconsidered. Pending another DJT/Legis. win of course. ;)

Why stick with the M16/M4 weapon? Why not adopt a true carbine which is actually short with a good length barrel (ie a "bullpup")? You use an M16/M4 weapon with an ultrashort barrel and there will be, I guarantee it, screams about it's inaccuracy and poor hitting power beyond 100 metres.

Air dropped cargo delivery drone. Surprisingly claimed to be cheaper than JPALS GPS guided parachute delivery.
