One wonders, just where the German military would of been able to obtain enough fuel to fly beasts like this in the wartime conditions of Germany?

The design was from 1942, a time when the situation still was quite good and there still were
hopes to conquer resources. And even later, it would have been just pondering between
using up quite a lot of fuel and supplying troops with desperately needed supplies, or getting
rare resources.
