I saw this in a list of Focke-Wulf aircraft and projects on Wikipedia, marked "concept," but my Google fu has turned up nothing. The name is intriguing...anyone know more?

Sorry, no. But this was an RLM-assigned designation so it was a wartime project.

I suppose it's mistake ! ???

Do you mean "Frontjäger" ? That's not a name, but designation of a class
of fighter aircraft, which, as far as I know, was used only in the Soviet airforce
and later in the airforces of the Warsaw Pact. In the west it was called "air
superiority fighter", I think, with no real equivalent during WW II.

air superiority fighter?
Like Interceptor?

more modern term may be "air dominance fighter".
Anyway "Frontjäger" is a description of a mission, not a name as for example
"Spitfire" and to my opinion this description wasn't used in war time Germany
and not in the FRG.

"Fw.259, Weiterentwicklung der Fw.159, mit D.B.601"

Following tomo pauk's valid comment I have edited the picture and substituted the nose of an E-3 variant.
