Early Belgian projects

Other than the Renard 40 and related projects, did Belgium have any other combat aircraft designs in the works between 1930 and 1940?
Yes. Off the top of my head, ACAZ / ZACCO (Ateliers de Contructions Aeronautiques de Zeebruge), Avions Fairey, LACAB, SABCA, Stampe & Vertongen, and probably many others.

Plus Fairey.

Hi,

in 1914,Mr. Henri Gérard tried to fly with his helicopter, which had a main lift
rotor and an anti-torque tail rotor, but not success was achieved, may it was
called Ornis, has anyone a picture to it ?.

Hi,

here is a very light biplane, wrote on the text; Ruthens,I don't know if it's the
name of the designer or not ?.

Here is information about Ruttiens out of my book Les avions SABCA et Associés Prototypes et projets Charles Mali

For your information, the Fabri aviatte has nothing to do with the SHBP. The error was recognized by Guy Roberty, the author of the article.

Can anybody here identify this little biplane?
I found the photo on ebay, however, the type is not mentioned. According to the text on the back of the photo the picture was taken in Genck (probably Genk!) by a photographer of Bruxelles, so this is most probably a Belgian type.

The fuselage seems to be similar to the photo in post 42 but the wings are different.
Could this be another aircraft built by Ferdinand Ruttiens?

The lost Belgian files

Some time ago I mistakenly filed some drawings of Belgian aircraft as Bulgarians and yesterday I found them by chance, here they are.:)

Thank you Chama,

and I have your book from long time ago,but about SABCA,there is many unknown projects still yet uncovered.

I think I have released all the SABCA prototypes. The SABCA archives disappeared during the war. I found unknown numbers at the air museum in a folder from Wulson. If you found anything else, I'm interested. I found personal notes in the documents at Alfred Renard fils. From experience in a company, unsuccessful project documents disappear. I should still go to the national library to see the archives of the aerotechnical laboratory of Rhode sant Genièse, which carried out the wind tunnel tests. The JW20 went there. I assume you are familiar with the Renard SABCA single-engine high wing.

I think there is a little bit of them in Belgium's magazines, such as BAMM,and great find of W.20,also the problem
with post WWII projects,I know the company submitted many proposals after S.60 ?!.

Do you have a document that talks about it, because I have a lot of documentation on the SABCA which had difficulty recovering from the war and was only able to enter a license-built program in 1955 with the Hunter program . I was able to interview Pierre Geoges Willekens, General Manager, who could not tell me anything on this subject.

Unfortunately I have a very little issues from BAMM and some Belgium magazines, but no mentioned in them to SABCA ?.

The Mulot registered O-BAFS first appeared as a parasol monoplane with 18 hp Vaslin engine, named the Mulot Labor. It was entered a the 1925 glider and light plane competition at Vauville.

There is a picture of the aircraft in its original configuration in the website claudel.dopp.free.fr:
http://claudel.dopp.free.fr/Les_planeurs/Histoire/Vauville-1925/Vauville-1925_machines.htm
and another in Flight 13 August 1925:
http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/view/1925/1925 - 0521.html

Those photographs show considerable differences from the later configurations as OO-AFS.

Adrien
To me, the two planes are different, even if they have the same registration and the same owner. The photo above was put in the same place as the one below to compare.
