Hi to all!!

I just received my copy of the book “Directory of MDB Projects 1966-1990” written by our friend Konstantin Udalov. My first impression was the extreme organization of topics. As the book describes the projects developed during a specific timeline, this is an important factor which contribute for good understanding. Projects are specified year by year from 1966 until 1990. Each aircraft description is supported by a lot of documents, providing clear and very reliable information in all aspects. I am sure that this book is not only for specialists and historians of aviation, but it is a “must read” for all aviation and engineering enthusiasts.
After all description and technical reports, we are presented with a huge gallery of images of each project. As it is not new for Udalov’s books, visual content quality is incredible. We can see historic images like mockup photos, scale model photos and astonishing computer made action pictures, covering each aspect of the aircraft’s original designs.
Without any doubt, this is another excellent book developed by Konstantin Udalov, and I highly recommend you to have your copy. It is impossible to finish this review without thank him for this addition to aviation literature.

Finally I skimmed through my copy. It´s a really great addendum to the aviationhistory of the russian/soviet designbureaus; this time it´s a chronic/timeline of Myasishchev between 1966-1990; the most interesting timeframe to me. The chronic is very detailed and it cuts into every single year. The design themes in each year are named and some of them are described deeper. Hence this book is very important for the understanding of Myasishchev´s evolution (both the company and the designhistory). The whole range of Myasishchevs fields of work becomes recognizable. The book is rounded up by excellent aviation artwork and many original documents. I can´t wait for more Myasishchev Books by Konstantin.
Highly recommended. Enjoy!
Cheers, Athpilot
