In "Der Flieger"December 1962 there's a short mention of a project for a tethered
unmanned rotor craft for reconnaissance, developed in 1939 by the Van Doorne’s
Aanhangwagenfabriek N.V. (DAF) in the Netherlands. Besides the small drawing and
caption, there's no other information. Tried to identify at least the truck (probably a
DAF type, too ?), but in vain.

Very very nice concept my dear Jemiba,

it looks like Dornier Tethered of late 1960s and early 1970s.

DAF didn't start making trucks of its own design until 1949. The truck shown is probably a Ford or Ford-based; in the late thirties, DAF started producing Ford-based on a limited scale.
