In an effort to reorganize, consolidate and rationalize the information contained on this forum, I've started to systematically split the fit-all "random" topics that were closed by the moderators to either regroup bits of information that had little value on their own, or create separate topics whenever there was sufficient information to justify it.

Major companies deserve an index of their own that can easily lead the visitor to all existing resources pertaining to them.

Here is a list of all the topics that contain the name "Sikorsky" in their title.

WHAT???? This is NOT the designations topic! It is a topic that points to all the other Sikorsky-related topics!
It may help some to read before you write...

I meant that there are probably discussions of these other products. If there aren't, there aren't

Hello! Thanks for the list, although I found problem: some of the links (at least, ones, that I checked) directs to the SPF main page.
Is that a problem on my side? Thanks in advance.

This thread was opened to act as an index of Sikorsky threads.
Stargazer, I personally thank you for your impressive and generous effort here.

A couple of quick thoughts about:

To help members understand it we probably should rename it as "Sikorsky index thread" or something similar.
Otherwise it seems that it will be vulnerable from being "populated" with Sikorsky general posts like news, company numbers, etc...

Another question is that, since not every member knows about the existence of this particular threads, the most logical action when looking for specific information is starting from the "search" option.

Oh, okay. Sorry about that, your post wasn't crystal clear as to its purpose. You are right, some of the types you've listed have had their dedicated topics since this here topic was created, and the list should be updated.

This topic (and several similar ones) were created 13 years ago, as kind of an experiment in an effort to organize and rationalize information on the forum. Some topics have changed names, others have been fused together or split, resulting in a few broken link.

I'd need time to go through all of them and update the list.

My pleasure! It seemed like a good idea at the time to have those "access" topics by manufacturer to make a little more sense of the many topics.

You are right. Another solution would be to make them "read only", with only the mods and admins able to modify/update the lists.

Yes, and that's why I also question the relevance of those "access" topics. Perhaps we ought to dispose of them altogether, and just let the search engine do its job? What do you think? What do other members think?

Given that among other things the search engine can still be a bit quirky at times, I would say that the topics are still quite useful, IMHO.

Sorry, I was inattentive and didn't figure out year of post creation. Imho, the idea of posts, that summarize the company' activity during their life cycle is good, as it allows to see the whole amount of projects, prototypes, series-built vehicles of different kind.
You made great job, summarizing Sikorsky' production list.
Thank you for your efforts!

P.S. Search of forum for the particular subject is useful, and presence of posts, that summarize efforts of big companies - is a good addition.
