In his 1948 book проектирование самолетов (Aircraft Design), Col. A. G. Bedunkovich presents many early jet projects and doesn't always give their identity...

Can you identify them? I must say I'm stuck about quite a few of these. So let's solve the puzzle together!

Nice quest, but I think that the drawings only occasionally match with real planes. Seems like a tutorial scheme in which are pointed up the position of fuel tank and engines.
However, this is my attempt:
1- A cross between Gloster Meteor, Me 262 and Alekseyev I-21
2- Northrop F-89 Scorpion
3- Nothing at all
4- Hawker P. 1052
5- Some from Luftwaffe 1946
6- Me 263 + MiG I-270
7- Antonov M
8- An unknown Armstrong Whitworth project
9- Antonov I
10- Folland Midge
11- Jet Powered Handley Page H.P. 75
12- Same as 3
13- Arado 234C
14- Ilyushin Il-22 revisited
15- Same as 12
16- SIAI Marchetti SM.133 revisited

I'd have said Boulton Paul for #8 myself, but I'd need to browse each company's unbuilt projects to be sure.

For N° 16 it would have rather said Fw Ta 283, as the Sm.133 actually seems to have
been a canard design ( http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,1375.msg236714.html#msg236714)
