I've run across an image published by the Associated Press with a caption that quotes Chrysler engineer Lowell Lawrence Jr. about a disc with an atomic engine. It's a classic bi-convex design with two fins canted outward toward the back. Any idea regarding a name or designation?

From an article that includes a photo attributed to the Associated Press:

Thanks,
