Found a new Z-9 variant with a modified nose-cone ebodying some kind of device inside. The photo is not altered in any way at all. It is a true picture.

Hi, Stingray,

The link you attached to your last post goes directly to IAI's last system installed, on the photo, on an Eurocopter AS565 (named "Atalef" I think in the Israely Navy), not to a Chinese Z-9.

Thats the Elta EL-M 2022H radar on a Eurocopter, as explained above. I think you meant Hebrew, not Chinese...

So does this mean that this picture with the PLAAF-symbol is a ps-ed FAKE ... or has CHina acquired this radar ?? ... as this helicopter-picture is cyrcling araound for some while in several CHinese news-groups !

The picture was overlooked by a person with LOTS of experience with photoshop and other picture editing programs, and he explains that he is 99% sure that the picture was not altered.

This is one of two Electronic Warfare (EW) variants of the model Z-9A, specifically "Type II".
