Hi,

that Italian designer created a two seat light biplane called AC.240,and it

He also design amazing monoplane,it was tourist aircraft powered by two engines
mounted at the wing tips in 1941,but no drawing remained.

In 1941, engineer Adriano calzone continued to work in the workshops Savigliano (Cuneo) (Savigliano (Cuneo)), involved in the production of S.79. There, he designed another aircraft with a truly revolutionary for its time characteristics. It was a tourist monoplane with two engines mounted on the wingtips. The meaning of this technical solution was, according to the designer, in the elimination of induced drag.

Dear Friends,
here it is a Calzoni's model of a biplane fighter.
It's not know the date of the project, but the source (Gente dell'Aria, Giorgio Evangelisti) report that Calzoni should studied that design during 1939, when he was the bureau director of the aircraft division of "Officine di Savigliano" factory, near the city of Cuneo.
It's even reported that the model has been tested in wind tunnel center Torino, but everything lost during the war.
Regards.
