Hi,

here is a study from Vertol to a several VTOL airplane concepts in 1955,of course they
are not all belonged to Vertol, maybe in the drawing No.4 is for Bell, and also Aerodyne,
but I think it is proper to put them all here, many new designs, and I don't know what
the meaning of R-75,could be V.75 ?.

Hi,

I discovered that, the number after prefix "R" was the report's number, and was not Vertol
designation.

Here is a new report, with all data for them.

Really not a good scan. The rest of the numbers seem to be similar to the Model 107 on the line below, so I suspect this is actually the BV-107-ii (written as 107-2), and is referring to the civilian airliner version of the BV-107/CH-46.

That's not right,it was number "2" ,please see again.

I know that's how it looks. But it's a poor quality/low-resolution scan and I think the original might be damaged enough to make the 7 look like a 2.

No designation allocated to it,so maybe it was V.102 ?.

OK, here is how I'm looking at this. The list is a capture from Aviation Week's annual list of "leading" aircraft by manufacturer. As such, this is not a list of unknown aircraft. But no other source I'm aware of mentions a V-102 or BV-102 from Boeing-Vertol. When I search for the specific title ""U.S. Rotary Wing Aircraft" in Google Image Search, I get multiple hits to thumbnail versions of this list (from several years) on the Aviation Week archive website and the look exactly like this list (colors vary year by year). However, what's interesting is that adding "107" to that search does narrow the results, while adding "102" returns no results. Which I think means that if you can access a high-res version of that list, it probably does not say 102. Unfortunately, I don't have a subscription to AW&ST to access the full archive and confirm that. Possibly someone who does can help resolve the question.
