Boeing-507 real or fake ?

Hi,

I don't know if this was a real project to Boeing,or fake ?,
the Model-507.

mmm, immediatly post-war Boeing civilian jet transports were generally inspired to B-47 and B-52 configuration (model 473) but they were long-range design. This could be a mid-range one so it could well be real. Another guess is that it is an internal Comet-like exercise to explore the characteristics of the wing-root engines configuration. Model 507 numbering is rightly from very early 50's. Source ?
 
We should remain cautious as the drawing already posted apparently has been made using software like the Photoshop or MS Paint.

The creator, "SSgt Baloo", is a whiffer who comes up with all sorts of fun designs.

..With that engine design, I'd have assumed it was some BOAC concept.
A lot of American civil aircraft studies had engine disposition similar to one used by British or French companies. For example, one early Lockheed jet transport had engine on the side of rear fuselage, like the Caravelle.
