Bell ,Vertol & Lockheed Wing Extension VTOL Old Projects ?

Hi,

I confess that,this subject I already made a hint for it in anther topics,but I want
to explain what was those Projects ?,they were came from Bell and Lockheed as
a wing extension VTOL airplane concepts,also Vertol.

The most attention thing was Lockheed designs,one of them looks like the C-130,
and I know also this institute AIAA has a report on that field,if anyone can help,by
more Info or drawings ?.

IIRC, a swept version was considered for eg F-111 but, even with complex pivots and joints to maintain C/L, C/G etc, swing-wing came out ahead.
Is this correct ??
