Again, the pilot, having a "Land as soon as possible" warning on his control display, decides to bypass several serviceable landing spots to try for an airport 60 miles away.
I was just entertaining Rapid Dragonette thoughts, myself. So theoretically something the size of an ATACMS could be dropped out of the back of a MV-22B with the right software changes.
Can't an Osprey take a standard 463L cargo pallet, though? So it'd be about the same as a C-130. 4x JASSMs or whatever.I was just entertaining Rapid Dragonette thoughts, myself.
I was thinking about the potential for a slightly different range of missiles, say the L3 Red Wolf, or Anduril's Barracuda. The MV-22 might be able to take a Rapid Dragon JASSM pallet, but it will only be one pallet, making it difficult to overwhelm a target's air defence. But if you move to a smaller missile, with more per pallet, then swarm attacks become more viable. Can't an Osprey take a standard 463L cargo pallet, though?
