I recently came a cross this gun in a local museum. It's the one furthest away, behind the belt-fed Madsen with a pistol grip.

It's called the Bang-Madsen GV/MG and was manufactured by Dansk Riffel Syndikat.
Assuming they used standard Danish army nomenclature then GV/MG would mean Rifle/Machine Gun so I guess it's some sort of automatic rifle ala the original BAR, but it could just as well be an LMG.
I don't know when it was manufactured.
Anyone have any clues?

Bang rifles, usually as semi-autos, made frequent appearances around Europe and the US as prototype weapons both before and after WW1. It was considered to have been the most favourable weapon of those reviewed by the committee in the UK tasked with picking such a weapon. This LMG could be based on it.

Now that you mention it it does have the same muzzle cup as the M1922 rifle.
